Museo Civico Domenico Dal Lago
Knowing the past to design the future
The D. Dal Lago Civic Museum gives visitors the opportunity to travel back in time. This journey starts almost 300 million years ago and takes you to discover places and people who once populated the Agno Valley.
It starts with a rich display of ancient relics but then develops through a variety of activity programmes created for and by the local community. Lastly, this is a journey deeply rooted in the local area, to get to know, value, and preserve the landscape.

Opened to the public in 1995, the Museo Civico D. Dal Lago is housed in several rooms of Palazzo Festari, an ancient 18th-century residence in the historic centre of Valdagno. The exhibition brings together samples of fossils, rocks, minerals and archaeological finds almost exclusively from the Vicenza area, and in particular from the Agno Valley. The materials have either been donated, deposited, or excavated.
